The PIXAPRO Standard Non-Recessed Softbox is a light modifier commonly used by
portrait, commercial and still life photographers alike. They are comprised of an Outer Shell,
a (made from a heavy duty, heat resistant fabric with a reflective inner lining), a Speedring
(to enable you to mount you softbox to your light) an Inner Diffuser and an Outer Diffuser
material (to diffuse the light) and 4-8 Rods (to keep the softbox rigid).
The problem you might have when using bare bulb flash or small reflectors is that the
lighting can be quite harsh, producing really high contrast images with hard shadows. The
easiest and probably most effective solution to this problem, is to use Softbox to diffuse the
light making it softer and more natural looking. Softboxes are an effective, lightweight tool
for softening your light without sacrificing too much light output.
These Softboxes are available in both S-Type and EL Fittings.
