(2) Disconnect the engine beta linkage and carbon
block assembly from the beta ring per the airframe
manufacturer's instructions. Refer to Figure 3-7.
(a) If the carbon block must be removed, perform the
following procedures:
1 Remove the snap ring that retains the carbon
block assembly to the beta linkage.
2 Remove the carbon block assembly.
CAUTION:
(3) Use the beta system puller, Hartzell Propeller Inc.
P/N CST-2987, to compress the beta system and pull
the beta ring forward to expose the propeller mounting
bolts and washers. Refer to Figure 3-5.
