NORMAL OPERATION
When powered, the EMCOMMS meter will start up in Normal
Operation. In Normal Operation, there are 4 sets of LEDs that
provide status indications:
CVT Status LEDs
Line Status LED
Device Status LED
y RS485 Status LED
Figure 13: EMCOMMS Status Indication LED Diagram
The color of each LED will indicate conditions of the system:
Green = Normal
Yellow = Warning: See Diagnostic Mode
Red = Error: See Diagnostic Mode
If LEDs y are green
no conditions that require diagnostics.
If any of LEDs y are yellow
proceed to Diagnostic Mode below.
If one or more of your LEDs is blinking:
-CVT Status LEDs will blink when no load is present
-Device Status LED will blink when a non-factory default
setting has been selected
-RS485 Status LED y will blink to indicate network traffic
DIAGNOSTIC MODE
Diagnostic Mode identifies and displays potential issues causing
one or more of the LEDs y to appear yellow
during Normal Operation. Diagnostic Mode is not available if all
LEDs y display green

DIAGNOSTIC CODES
Diagnostic codes are presented one at at time, using LED
location, color, and sequence to indicate an installation concern.
A diagnostic code will repeat every 3 seconds until the user
proceeds to the next diagnostic code or the meter returns to
Normal Operation.
