Disc playback
Playback does not start.
No picture.
No sound.
Picture is distorted during fast
reverse/forward playback.
Stopping playback, search,
slow motion play, repeat play,
or programmed play, etc.
cannot be performed.
The unit keys or the remote
control is not functioning.
Playback does not start when
the title is selected.
The audio soundtrack and/or
subtitle language cannot be
changed.

Possible solution
• No disc is loaded.
• The disc may be dirty. Clean the disc.
• The disc format is not supported.
• The unit is not in DVD mode.
• The unit is in the special playback mode.
• If an external speaker is connected, check its volume control.
• If using an amplifier, check the coaxial digital audio out connection.
• The picture will be distorted occasionally. This is normal.
• These playback features are not applicable to all discs.
• Turn off the unit and unplug the AC power cord for several minutes,
then replug it.
• The disc may not be compliant with the "Parental" setting.
• The disc has no multilanguage option encoded on it.
• The disc has no subtitle encoded on it.
• Subtitles are disabled. Press SUBTITLE.
• The disc has no multiangle scenes.
• The function is not applicable to the disc or to the current mode.
• Aim the remote control at the remote sensor.
• Make sure you are using the remote control within approximately
five meters of the unit or reduce the light in the room.
• Make sure there's no obstruction on the path of the beam.
• The batteries are no longer working. Replace the batteries.
• Make sure the batteries are properly positioned.
