V-Chip setup
As a supplement to the standard V-Chip rating system, you can download an
additional rating system, if such a system becomes available in the future.
Notes:
• You can only download an additional V-Chip rating system when the TV is
receiving a digital signal.
• The availability, content, and format of a downloaded V-Chip rating system
may vary. This system is not determined nor controlled by your TV.
Downloading additional V-Chip rating system

Make sure your TV is currently receiving a
digital signal.

Press MENU to display the Main Menu screen.
 
Press or to select "Lock", then press
or ENTER.

Key in your 4-digit password using the
Number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER.

Press or to select "V-Chip Set (DTV)",

then press or ENTER.

Press or to select the additional rating
system you want to download, then press
ENTER.
If the selected rating system is not yet available on
your TV/DVD, downloading will begin. This process
may take some time to complete depending on how
large the download is, and the strength of the digital
signal.

Once download is complete, set your preferred
content rating restriction for the new rating
system.
Notes:
• You can update a downloaded rating system by selecting
the "Update" option indicated on step 4 on this page.
• The standard V-Chip rating system is available whether
your TV is receiving a digital signal or not. This standard
rating system is applicable to both analog and digital
programs. To set the restriction level using the standard
V-Chip rating system, refer to "Setting up the restriction
