WHEN REPLACING DVD DECK [ When removing the DVD Deck ] Before removing Pick Up PCB and DVD MT PCB connector, the short circuit the position shown in Fig. 1 using a soldering iron. If you remove the DVD Deck with no soldering, the Laser may be damaged. [ When installing the DVD Deck ] Remove all the soldering on the short circuit position after the connection of Pick Up PCB and DVD MT PCB connector.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF FLAT PACKAGE IC REMOVAL Put Masking Tape (cotton tape) around the Flat Package IC to protect other parts from any damage. (Refer to Fig. 3-1.) NOTE Masking is carried out on all the parts located within 10 mm distance from IC leads.

INSTALLATION Take care of the polarity of new IC and then install the new IC fitting on the printed circuit pattern. Then solder each lead on the diagonal positions of IC temporarily.
