To enter the hour press the appropriate numbers on the keyboard Then add the minutes by pressing the appropriate numbers on the
keyboard Press the [X/TIME] key to enter The correct time will appear on the display with a dash mark separating the hour and minutes
NOTE
The ER 145 utilizes a 24 hour clock The time must be entered by adding 12 to all hours in the PM This is commonly called
international time The 24 hour clock ensures that the date will change at 12 midnight and also provides for more accurate sales data from
the 2 hour periodic total readings
PROGRAM EXAMPLE
The time to be programmed is 3 45 P M (15 45 hours)

STEP SEVEN:
Tax Rate Computation
Program One PGM-1 One of the following three (3) tax options should have been selected
Option 100 —NonTax
Option 101 — Tax 1 and Tax 2 will be programmed as a fixed percentage tax rate
Option 102 — Tax 2 will be programmed as a fixed percentage tax rate and Tax 1 will be programmed as a state table tax rate
IMPORTANT — The procedure for programming the actual tax percentage is different for each option Follow the instructions for the tax
option that was selected
Tax Option 100—If you chose this option in PGM 1 no further programming is necessary Proceed to Step 8 (Page 27)
