Charging the Battery

WARNING
Charging the battery produces gasses that
can explode.
Do not smoke near the battery, and keep
sparks and flames away from the battery.
Important:
Keep the battery fully charged. This
is especially important to prevent battery damage
when the temperature is below 0°C (32°F).
1.
Clean the exterior of the battery case and the
battery posts.
Note:
Connect the leads of the battery charger
to battery posts before connecting the charger
to the electrical source.
2.
Look at the battery and identify the positive and
negative battery posts.
3.
Connect the positive lead of the battery charger
to the positive battery post

Connect the negative lead of the battery charger
to the negative-battery post
5.
Connect the battery charger to the electrical
source, and charge the battery.
Important:
Do not overcharge the battery.
6.
When the battery is fully charged, unplug
the charger from the electrical source, then
disconnect the charger leads from the battery
posts

Adjusting the Traction
Drive for Neutral
The machine must not creep when the traction pedal
is released. If it does creep, adjust as follows:
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, turn the
key in the ignition switch to the O

2.
Jack up the machine until all the tires are off
the shop floor. Support the machine with jack
stands to prevent it from falling accidentally.
3.
On the right side of the hydrostat, loosen the
locknut on the traction-adjustment cam

The engine must be running so
that the final adjustment of the
traction-adjustment cam can be
performed. This could cause personal
injury.
Keep your hands, feet, face, and other
body parts away from the muffler, other
hot parts of the engine, and any rotating
parts.
