Using a microphone

To record high-quality sounds, you can use the internal
microphone or attach an external microphone:
1 If you are using the internal microphone, which is located
near the front left corner of the computer, go to
Otherwise, connect an external microphone to the computer,
by locating the microphone jack on the left side of the
computer.
2 Plug the microphone cord into the microphone jack on
your computer.
3 Turn on the microphone.
4 Click Start, point to All Programs, Accessories,
Entertainment, then click Sound Recorder.
The Sound Recorder screen displays.

5 Click the Record button.
6 Speak normally into the microphone.
