b. Apply the 10 ns signal from the Time-Mark Generator
through a 40 dB attenuator to the RF INPUT connector. Set
DISPERSION to 50kH z/cm
and the RESOLUTION control
fully clockwise.
Adjust the IF CENTER FREQ controls to
center the display on screen.
c. Connect the 1 0 X
probe from the test oscilloscope to
pin B of the honeycomb square pin connector.
d. Adjust the Type 1 L30 G A IN control for a display am
plitude of 6 cm on the plug-in oscilloscope. Adjust the Trig
ger Level and Slope controls to obtain a stable display on
the test oscilloscope. Adjust the test oscilloscope Volts/Cm
selector for a display amplitude of approximately 6 centi
meters. See Fig. 6-9.
e. Adjust C504 and C508 (Fig. 6-10) for optimum display
symmetry on the test oscilloscope.
C504 for the slope of the response and C508 for symmetry.
When correctly adjusted, the test oscilloscope display will
remain fairly symmetrical through each position of the RES-

control.
Remove the test oscilloscope probe.
f.
Adjust the bandpass of the 5 MHz filter as follows:
1. Adjust
the 100 kHz Resol Cal R543, to obtain a
bandpass between 100 kHz and 120 kHz a t the — 6 dB
point. (Fig. 6-12A.)
2. Switch
the RESOLUTION
from the fully clockwise position.
3. Adjust
C610, C620 and L624 (Fig. 6-10)
sponse on the plug-in oscilloscope CRT similar to Fig.
6-11 A.
Adjust C610 for optimum symmetry at the base
of the bandpass response and adjust C620-L624 for re
sponse slope and symmetry at the upper portion of the
display.
NOTE
Install the Type 1 L30 into the com partm ent o f the
plug-in oscilloscope
and allo w tKe unit to stabilize
to the change in the operating tem perature.
