Using Wake On LAN
The Wake on LAN feature can be disabled or enabled using your system
configuration utility. Refer to your computer documentation for details.
Power for the Netfinity 10/100 Ethernet Adapter is always ON when the computer is
connected to ac power, regardless of the computer ON/OFF switch. When the
computer power is OFF, this adapter constantly monitors the LAN for the wake-up
frame that requests power to be applied to the computer.
The wake-up frame can be a broadcast or an individually-addressed frame. The
following data is required and can occur anywhere in the data portion of the
wake-up frame.
