Once data have been successfully transferred, they can be visualized on the PC and
analyzed. From the File menu, click Open and then double click any of the folders to select
a file. A box similar to the one below will appear.
A graph of force against time is shown for each test transferred.
All data files are stored in the folder C:\PAM Data\ in sub-folders which are named
according to the date of transfer of the data, in the format YYMMDD. For example, data

transferred on the 23
of July, 2009 will be found in the folder C:\PAM Data\090723\.
Individual files, containing the downloaded data, are named automatically according to the
date, as above, followed by two letters which progress from AA, AB, AC... through to ZZ.

For example, the third set of data downloaded on 23
of July, 2009 would be stored in the
file
C:\PAM Data\090723\090723AC.PAM.

6.4 Analyzing downloaded data

To view PAM data which have been downloaded to the PC, click Analyze Existing Data
from the main window. Use the drive, folder and file selection boxes to select the required
data file. If necessary, refer to section 7.2 for an explanation of the automatic file naming
system used by PAM PC. The display of the first test stored in a typical downloaded file is
shown below.
