Installing the return adapter
1. Screw the coupling nipple (Fig. 2, item 1) into the
adapter (Fig. 2, item 2) with the flat sealing ring
(A10 x 13.5) and tighten it.
2. Insert the O-ring (Fig. 2, item 3) into the groove.

3.6.2 Return adapter 1 683 356 137 for Delphi CRIs
The return adapter 1 683 356 137 (Fig. 3, item 1)
connects the return of the Delphi CRI (Fig. 3,
item 2) to the hose assembly for the return quanti-
ty of CRI 846 / CRI 846H using the hose assembly
1 680 712 249.

Before using the return adapter, check the O-ring for
damage. Change the O-ring if defective or brittle.
Detached bits of the O-ring will damage the injector
or the quantity measurement system of EPS 708 /
EPS 815.

Secure the return adapter by pressing down the tab
(Fig. 3, item 3). To remove it, pull the tab up and re-
move the return adapter from the return connection.

The hose assembly 1 680 712 249 is included in the
accessory set 1 687 010 186.

The included cover caps can be used to keep the
return adapters dust-free during storage.
