Progressive Outputs (DVD)
If your TV or monitor is equipped with component video inputs that
are capable of reproducing a progressively scanned video signal.
1. Connect your unit to your TV as explained in "Component
Video Outputs (DVD)".
2. Connect the component video cable to your TV.
3. Press
SETUP
on the remote control and select video output to
YUV. See "Video Output" on Page 17 for instructions on how to
select the video output.
4. Press
on the remote control when the DVD is stopped.

You can select the output signal for better picture quality.

CONNECTING OTHER AUDIO EQUIPMENT

Analog Connection
Use an audio/video cable (not supplied) to connect the
jacks on your unit to the AUDIO IN jack on the
AUDIO OUT L/R
analog equipment.
Digital Connection
Use a coaxial digital audio cable (not supplied) to connect the
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT
jack on your unit to the DIGITAL AUDIO IN
jack on the other equipment.

• If the external equipment is a television and this audio system is
PR/CR VIDEO
close to it, you may experience interference.
• When in tuner mode, sound is only heard from the front left
speaker, right speakers, and subwoofer.
• Some VCRs have different modes, such as stereo or mono, from
which to select. Always set your VCR to stereo mode for the
appropriate speaker outputs.
• Due to copyright protection, DVD movies cannot be copied. If
you copy a DVD movie onto a videotape, the resulting copy will
be unclear, with poor sound quality. This is NOT caused by a
defective DVD system.
• When using the VCR, press

1. Connect the loop antenna (included) to the
terminal on the back of the unit.
2. Snap the supplied stand to the bottom of the AM loop antenna
and place it on a flat surface.
3. Keep the antenna as far away from the system, speaker cords,
and power cord as possible. This prevents unwanted noise.
