Description of the System

This instrument is applicable for the measurement of the specific
conductivity, concentration, salinity and Total Dissolved Solids
(TDS).
The conductivity is a parameter for the total quantity of ions present
in the solution.
The AMU Inducon transmitter together with the sensor Indu-
con1000 is used for applications in:
 chemical
 food & dairy
 refinery
 pulp & paper
 metal finishing
 and waste water industries.
Inductive conductivity measurements are carried out as follows:
The transmitter gives a constant drive to one of the toroidal coils
which induces a current in the solution. This induced solution cur-
rent produces a current in the second toroid. The signal measured
by the second toroid is proportional to the solution conductivity.
Inductive conductivity measurements are performed without using
any electrodes in contact with the solution.
