The Extron WPD 181 Button is a single gang pass-through wallplate with a single elegant button
connected to a 5-pole captive screw connector. The WPD 181 Button is installed with a mud
ring, and includes a decorator-style frame.
Install the wallplate directly into the wall using the supplied mud ring.
Planning
Before starting the installation it is important that you do the following:

Ensure there are no utility cables or pipes at the intended location that might be damaged or

Check the installation meets the local and state regulatory requirements, including building,

electrical, and safety codes, and UL and ADA accessibility requirements.
During installation, ensure the space behind the device is sufficient for the connector and bend
radius of connected cables.
The recommended minimum space to leave behind the WPD 181 Button is 1.75 inches (45 mm).
