Before Calling for Service

Troubleshooting Tips

Review the chart on the following pages, you may not have to make a call for service.
Problem
Possible Cause
Dishwasher won't
Blown fuse, or tripped circuit
work
breaker.
Power supply is not turned
on.
Low water pressure.
Drain pump does
Overflow
not stop

Some sounds are normal.
Utensils are not secure in the
baskets or something small
has dropped into the basket.
Motor hums
Suds in tub
Improper detergent being
used.
Rinse agent was spilled.
What To Do
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Remove any other appliances sharing
the same circuit with the dishwasher.
Make sure the dishwasher is turned
on and the door is firmly closed.
Make sure the power cord is properly
plugged into the wall outlet.
Check that the water supply is prop-
erly connected and the water is
turned on.
The system is designed to detect an
overflow. When it does, it shuts off the
circulation pump and turns on the
drain pump.
Sounds from soft food shredding ac-
tion and detergent cup opening.
Make sure all items in dishwasher are
secured in their position.
Dishwasher has not been used regu-
larly. If you do not use it regularly, re-
member to set it to fill and pump out
every week, which will help keep seals
moist.
Open the dishwasher door and let
suds evaporate.
Add 1 gallon of cold water to the tub.
Close and latch the dishwasher, then
drain out the water by slowly turning
the knob until a drain period is
reached. Repeat if necessary. Use
only special dishwasher detergent to
avoid suds.
Always wipe up rinse agent spills im-
mediately.
