Jam Detection

■ Outline
The printer uses the following sensors to check whether media is being fed correctly or has jammed:
• TOP sensor (PS912)
• Fixing delivery sensor (PS916)
• Duplex reverse sensor (PS917)
• Media width sensor (PS922)

■ Pickup Delay Jam
When the TOP Sensor (PS912) cannot detect the leading edge of paper within the specified time after starting pickup from a
cassette, pickup retry is executed twice. After that, the sensor still cannot detect the leading edge of paper within the specified
time, it is judged as a pickup jam.
■ Pickup Stationary Jam
When the TOP Sensor (PS912) cannot detect the trailing edge of paper after the specified time has passed since it detected the
leading edge of paper, it is judged as a pickup stationary jam.
