3.2 Foundation and fixing
Warning
Heavy duty
They can cause death, serious bodily
injury or property damage.
Use experienced staff in handling the
lifting and moving of equipment, so as to
ensure an adequate margin of safety on
the equipment to be used and the
correct use of the same.
3.2.1 Installation on foundation/concrete floor
The foundations on which the pictures will be
installed should be well leveled and properly
resistant , so as to prevent deformation of the
supporting structure and sagging due to its own
weight , or to the stresses generated by the opening
and closing of the switches.
It is appropriated that in the foundation, in
correspondence of the fixing points are provided
the angular metal.
In this case, on the foundations must be provided
tunnels for the passage of cables, in
correspondence of the incoming hole practiced
on the bottom of each compartment.
In general can be provided:
Tunnel for the cables for the auxiliary circuits,
command and control, in the front of each
compartment
Tunnel for the power cables
3.2.2 Installation on floating floor
Can be installed panels on dedicated floating
basement, with adjustable feet, sized to support
the weight of the whole panels and equipment
on trolley.
In this case the power and auxiliary cables will
have dedicated walkways such as to terminate
at the relative incoming hole practiced on the
basis of the individual compartments.
3.2.3 Fixing
The fixing of the structure is realized by means
of four bolts M8, located in the cell switch , for
each section of the electric panel. The screws
for fixing the compartments IS NOT SUPPLIED
WITH the panel (fig.3.2).
In the case where it is required that the structure
of the panel must be electrically isolated from the
floor and girders by means of suitable insulating
supports for each compartments, to install between
the supporting surface and the base of the panels
(check the technical documentation required by
contract).
