4.6.1 HSCB Compartment
This compartment houses the high speed circuit
breaker mounted on a removable four-wheeled
trolley easily withdrawn from the cubicle. The
trolley is also equipped with line test device
(resistor, contactor and fuse).
The following main equipment will be mounted
inside the cell.
Insulation shutter,mechanically operated by
the trolley
Mechanical and electrical interlocks
Mechanical breaker travel mechanism
Auxiliary circuits connector
Circuit breaker position indication limit switch
Trolley earthing system
Primary disconnector
Heaters
In the cell, the circuit breaker may be in one of
the following position.
Service: Normal operating position, with main

and auxiliary circuit connected;

As above two drawings show:when the HSCB is
in different positions of service, test and
disconnected, the indicator will pointing to
different directions.
When the trolley is going to the test position from
outside,it's needed to insert the operation lever
into the button of the front panel which shows
in the drawings and move it to the 45° direction
in order to come out the groove.
The permission position of the closing action in
the trolley test position is in the direction of 90°.
To push the trolley continually to the service place,
a action of operating the lever to 135° direction
should be done first to show up the groove.
The permission position of the closing action
in the trolley service position is also in the
direction of 90 degrees.
As be showed in the red circle of the left drawing
above,it's the soket of the operation lever for
prying the trolley to shuttle freely between test
and service.
The locker circled in blue in the right drawing
above is used to lock the trolley in it's test position.
When locked,a latch will be pluged into the cam
gear to restrict the mechanism to move. The same
one in red is used to lock in service.
