3.4.2 Main power circuit connections
DANGER
The voltages present in the equipment
are potentially lethal.
Before working on the output cables to
make sure that they have been grounded
and that steps are being taken to
prevent them from being in advertently
energized.
For the connection to the power circuit are arranged
in the respective compartments, the connection
bars with suitable holes corresponding to the
connection termination systems of power cables
used.
The entry of the power cables in the individual
compartments should be secured by a suitable
cable gland to be fixed to the plate closing forazze
supplied with the panels.
For this purpose it is necessary to remove the
closure plates to prepare the holes and fix the
associated cable glands.
Reassemble the plates and then proceed with
the passage of the relevant cables.
After the header proceed to connecting cables
to the bar, making sure not to decrease in any
way the insulation distances.
3.4.3 Grounding the electric panel
The copper bar which extends for the entire
length of the electric panel (identified with the
symbol PE), is set for the connection of the
individual ground conductors. The continuity of
the grounding conductor and its connection to
the earth, must be checked during installation
with the utmost care to ensure that all bolts are
securely tightened. Also make sure that accessible
metal parts are definitely connected to the ground.
It absolutely forbidden to the ground connection
in other parts of the panel, though apparently
adequate and valid (these points may not be
suitable to withstand the maximum fault current
to ground).
Do not use the bar from the ground to achieve
the "common" measuring circuit protection and
the like.
