Water quality in the heating system
Heat pumps work at lower temperatures than other heating systems,
which is why thermal deaerating is less effective and the remaining
oxygen content is always higher than with electric, oil and gas heaters.
This means that the heating system will be more sensitive to rust with
aggressive water.
If heating systems have to be regularly refilled or if hot water samples
from these systems are cloudy, corresponding measures such as
retrofitting magnetic filters and air vents are needed before installing the
heat pump.
A heat exchanger may be required to protect the heat pump if the
specified limits cannot be reached.
