In-dash installation kit for 1982-2005 general motors vehicles

1985-92 Pontiac Firebird
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Carefully pull on the
edges of the radio
trim panel to release
the panel clips and
remove the panel.
2. Remove the four screws
which secure the radio
to the console.
3. Disconnect the
antenna, speaker leads
and all the electrical
connections, then
remove the radio.
USE THE SHADED BRACKETS & THE INDICATED HOLE LOCATIONS. CUT OFF THE REMAINING BRACKETS & DISCARD.
Usa los soportes asombrados y las localizaciónes de aberturas indicadas. Corta los soportes que sobran y desechalas.
1996-98 Pontiac Grand Am
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Extract two screws from the dash bezel above instrument/gauges.
2. Extract two screws from back of deep
storage pocket below the radio.
3. Carefully pull out on the
instrument/radio panel to
release snap clips, unplug
switches and remove bezel.
4. Extract three 7mm screws
securing radio, unplug
connectors, antenna lead,
and remove radio.
USE THE SHADED BRACKETS & THE INDICATED HOLE LOCATIONS. CUT OFF THE REMAINING BRACKETS & DISCARD.

1992-1995 Pontiac Grand Am
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Extract the screw from the underside of the radio trim bezel.
2. Extract the fve screws from the upper glove box securing
the glove box assembly and remove the glove box.
3. Open up the lower glove box and extract the three
screws securing the radio trim bezel near the pin switch.
4. Extract the three screws from below the steering column that
secure the top of the driver's side lower dash.
5. Extract the fve screws securing the lower section
of the driver's side lower dash panel and remove the panel.
6. Extract the screw securing the radio trim bezel behind the driver's side lower dash panel.
7. Using a panel removal tool/screwdriver, carefully pry the
radio trim bezel outward to release and remove it.
8. Remove the two nuts from below the radio cavity securing the radio to the dash,
pull the radio from the cavity, unplug the leads and remove the radio.
SECURE THE KIT PANEL TO THE SUB-DASH USING THE SUPPLIED CARRIAGE NUTS AND BOLTS.

1985-91 Pontiac Grand Am
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Unsnap the front edge of the gearshift
trim piece from the center console.
2. Gently pull on the radio trim panel
to release the snaps and remove the trim.
3. Remove the two screws which
secure the radio and slide the radio out of the cavity.
4. Disconnect the antenna, speaker leads and
all the electrical connections, then remove the radio.
SECURE THE KIT PANEL TO THE SUB-DASH USING THE SUPPLIED CARRIAGE NUTS AND BOLTS.
