Electrical connection

WARNING
The specifications of the examination certificate valid in your country
must be observed.
Laws and regulations valid in your country must be observed for the
electrical installation in hazardous areas. In Germany these are for
example:
-- The statutory regulations governing electrical installations in
hazardous areas.
-- Regulations for installing electrical equipment in hazardous
areas DIN EN 60079--14 (VDE 0165) .
It should be checked,
-- whether the available power supply is compliant with the power
supply specified on the type plate and specified in the examina-
tion certificate valid in your country. Dust--proof protection caps in
the cable inlets must be replaced by suitable screw-type glands
or dummy plugs which must be appropriately certified for trans-
mitters with explosion-proof type of protection.
The transmitter should be powered from an SELV (SELV, safety extra-low
voltage). If other power sources are to be used, we recommend that the trans-
mitter housing be earthed. The earthed terminal in the terminal housing is
connected to the external earth terminal.

NOTE
To improve interference immunity it is recommended:
-- to lay signal cores separately from cables with voltage > 60 V
-- to use cables with twisted wires
-- avoid placing near large electrical equipment or the use of shielded
cables.
Connect the screen to the screen screw if necessary. This screen screw is electri-
cally connected to the ground screw (outside the electrical housing).
