OPERATION
The entire system is commissioned and operated via easyTab or proTab. Please read the
instruction manual of the respective tab for this.
Mains operation
Connect the power plug to a suitable power source. If there is no suitable power source
available, the device can be operated by the integrated battery. The LED is on when the Tab
is powered – either from an external power source or from the base battery.
NOTE
Risk of property damage!
Over-voltage can lead to property damage or even total failure. Interruptions to the
power supply disturb the operation of the device and can lead to malfunctions and
data loss.
•
Ensure that the power supply is uninterrupted.
•
Ensure that the power source has over-voltage protection.
•
Ensure that the values listed in the technical data for the power supply are
complied with.
Battery operation
Both the base and the Tab are equipped with a battery, so that the Tab can be operated
independently of the base and a power source. If the base and the Tab are connected to
each other during mains operations, both batteries are being charged. If the base and the
Tab are connected to each other and are in battery operation, the Tab is charged by the
battery of the base while the device is in operation.
To charge the Tab from the basic battery when it is powered off, press the Load Tab button.
The charging process continues for a certain period of time and then it is automatically
aborted. To cancel the charging process manually, press the Load Tab button for approx. 2
seconds.
The LED is on when the Tab is powered – either from an external power source or from the
base battery.
Ensure that the batteries are sufficiently charged before starting work. To charge the
battery, connect the power plug to a suitable power source. The battery charge status can
be checked at can3D
manual.
