10. Maintenance

The Profiform Radius bending rolling machine has been designed for minimal
maintenance. The following two points describe how to keep the machine
operating reliably and in good condition even after a long time in service.
After using the machine, wipe off the steel parts with an oily cloth so as to
prevent any rust from forming. This is particularly important for those steel parts
not surface protected.
With frequent use of the machine, lightly lubricate the bearings of all the rollers
with some drops of thin oil once a week. If the machine is not frequently used,
lubricate after every usage.
11. Accessories: Parallel guides (*not included in basic equipment)
To facilitate right angular and straight introduction of sheet metal or round bars
between the driving-rollers, a parallel guide set has been designed. It consists of
a ground and hardened guide bar (20*) with two mounting screws (22*) and two
adjustable guides (21*) which can be set any place along the whole machine
length.
This set can be ordered with Item No:
Mounting and setting the guides:
- Push guide bar (20*) into the respective mounting hole in the right side
plate (4) towards the middle of the machine.
- Slide both guides (21*) on the guide bar.
- Push the guide bar further towards the left sideplate (5) until it sits fully in
the respective mounting hole.
- Tighten the two mounting screws (22*).
- The two guides can now be moved and adjusted as required along the
whole length of the guide bar.
