Cleaning

CAUTION - DO NOT use a hose pipe or
!
pressure washer to clean the engine. Water
can damage the engine or contaminate the
fuel system.
!
NOTE Engine must be switched off and
spark plug lead disconnected.
• Wipe the machine down with a damp cloth
after every use.
• For larger build ups of debris, use a scraper
or similar product.
• Dry the machine completely to prevent rust
from forming.
• Use a light silicone spray on exposed metal
parts to protect the metal.
• Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic
parts. Most plastics are susceptible to
damage from various types of commercial
solvents and may be damaged by their use.
• If not cleaned and maintained correctly or
regularly, the machine will not perform at its
best.

Storage

CAUTION - When storing the machine,
!
make sure it has been cleaned as in the
previous section.
!
NOTE - If storing the tiller for a period of
30 days or more, you must follow proper
storage and winterisation guidelines to avoid
any possible issues with your machine.
Incorrect storage can lead to possible fueling
or engine issues that will not be covered by
the warranty.
The following steps should be taken to
prepare your machine for storage.
STEP 1
Drain the fuel.
• With the fuel valve turned OFF, remove and
empty the fuel strainer cup.
• Remove tube clip (3.2) and drain the petrol in
the fuel tank into a suitable container.
• Replace the fuel strainer cup and tighten
securely.
• Drain the cabruretor by loosening the drain
knob. Drain the petrol into a suitable
container.

WARNING! Petrol is extremely flammable
and is explosive under certain conditions.
Refuel in a well-ventilated aea with the engine
stopped. Do not smoke or allow flames or
sparks in the area where the engine is
refuelled or the petrol is stored.
