    General safety instructions Important safety information, pleas read this manual carfully and keep it stored for future reference! Important: * Before the first use, carefully read all the information in this manual. * Never let children or pets near this barbecue. * This barbecue may never be operated by children, people with an intellectual disability, or people under the influence of drugs and/or medication.
  • Page 5 * If you smell gas, make sure that all gas connections are tightened before using the barbecue. If after that you still smell gas, close the gas tap and contact the store where you bought the barbecue immediately. * Always keep flammable and/or combustible substances, gases, liquids, and materials away from the barbecue and never let them come in direct contact with the barbecue.

    1.2 Place of use * Only use the barbecue outdoors (outside) and in a well-ventilated area. Never use the barbecue indoors or in any (partly) enclosed space. Toxic fumes will accumulate, which may cause serious physical injury or may result in death. * Never use the barbecue on a flammable or combustible surface.

    Assembly drawings Step 1 Use 6 self-tapping screws to attach the left cover strip to the left side of the barbecue and repeat this procedure to attach the right cover strip.
  • Page 8 Step 2 Use 4 self-tapping screws to attach the strip to the back of the barbecue. Step 3 Unscrew the black cover and place the battery (AA) in the igniter with the positive side (+) facing outwards. Screw the cover back onto the battery compartment in the correct position.
  • Page 9 Step 4 Slide the cover plates into the recesses with the triangular side pointing upwards. Make sure you place the cover plate with the long side to the infrared burner on the right side. Place the cooking grill and the grill plate on the edges of the barbecue.
  • Page 10 Step 5 Verify that the gas type is the same as indicated on the barbecue model label. Connect the gas hose to the connection on the back of the barbecue.

    . Use of your barbecue 4.1 General information Although all gas connections on the barbecue are tested for leaks before transport, a full test must also be carried out at the place of assembly. Parts may have shifted during the transportation or assembly of the barbecue.
  • Page 12 Please note: Make sure that you test all individual connections (including the side burner) when testing the device for leaks and, if necessary, that they are tightened properly again. Even a small leak in the system can result in a dangerous situation. Please note: Most gas cylinders nowadays are equipped with a mechanism for detecting leaks inside the tank.
  • Page 13 Do not use aluminium foil in the enamelled burner compartment or around the flame tamers. Make sure the gas cylinder has adequate ventilation. Put charcoal/briquettes in the designated coal container. Never use more than 1 kilo of charcoal/briquettes. Instead of firelighters or lighter fluid, it is possible to use charcoal chimneys, electric starters or other resources suitable for lighting charcoal.
  • Page 14 4.5 Lighting the burners with a match extender (if present) * The burner can also be ignited with the help of a match into the extender, if the barbecue is equipped with one. Open the gas supply. * Keep your face as far away from the barbecue as possible and move the match extender through the openings in the grills to the burner.

    4.8 Storage * After using your barbecue, close the gas supply and let the barbecue cool down. * Remove the gas cylinder. * Store the barbecue in a well-ventilated area and keep children away from the device. * Do not place easily flammable products under the barbecue. * If you choose to store the barbecue outdoors, use a cover to protect your barbecue from the weather.
  • Page 16 * Clean the grills and flat top grill with a suitable cleaning brush (available in the Boretti webshop). * Remove the cooking grills and flat top grill. * Brush charred (food) residue towards the grease tray. * Remove the grease tray and clean it with warm water and detergent.
  • Page 17 These fine cracks can lead to small pieces of enamel breaking off, resulting in rust spots. However, chips and fine cracks in the enamel will not affect the performance of your barbecue. No claim can be made on the warranty for enamel damage in the cooking area after use.
