Remove head and clean carbon
If disconnecting breather
stops smoke, replace
breather system
Overhaul engine
Re-fill crankcase; replace
oil-filter element. Check
for oil leak
Reduce load until cause of
overheating is located, or
use heavier oil
Readjust valve. If none of
above correct, overhaul
engine
Tighten wire clamp or choke
lever
Replace float, float valve
and seat, or entire carbur­
etor if not corrected by
setting float level
Adjust
Replace if cleaning does not
correct condition

Check and re-set lever or

Clean or replace. Remove
oil if below 0°F.
