h. All cable couplings or splices should be fully insulated.
i. DO NOT CHANGE CABLE CONNECTIONS WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING.
26. ENGINE
a. Never fill the gas tank while the engine is hot or in operation.
b. Never operate the unit in a closed building unless the exhaust is piped out­
side. The exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poisonous, ODORLESS, and invisible
gas, which if breathed into' the lungs will cause serious illness or possible DEATH.
c. Never make adjustments on the unit while it is connected to the engine with­
out first removing the ignition cables from the spark plugs.
d. Never leave tools or parts on the operating machine as they could get among
the moving parts and cause serious harm to the machine or nearby personnel.

ALWAYS BE SURE TO SHUT THE FUEL TANK VALVE OFF WHEN THE WELDER IS NOT IN USE. IF THIS
PROCEDURE IS EELECTED THE FUEL WILL CONTINUE TO FLOW AND WILL GET IN TOE ENGINE CRANKCASE.
