File Transfer Utility
A utility is provided which enables files to be transferred to and from a P900 connected to a PC. It makes
the P900 appear as a device in Windows Explorer. The Internal Storage and Memory Stick appear as two
drives connected to the device:

Typical uses for this include:

Archiving pictures taken on the P900 to PC storage
•
Moving images to the P900 to use in personalization, MMS messages etc.
•
Moving sound clips to the P900 for personalization.
•
Store work documents (Word, Excel etc) on the P900 to read whilst on the move.
Backup and Restore
Backup is initiated from the connected PC. Note that the Syncstation desk stand must be used for
backup and not infrared or Bluetooth wireless technology. Files in the user data area (which includes loaded
third party applications) are backed up to PC storage.
The restore utility takes stored data from the PC and places it back on to the P900.
Language Change Utility (Standard P900 only)
The P900 has a larger, richer UI compared to an ordinary mobile phone. Applications often have help
information also. Consequently, it is impractical to store many languages on a standard P900 at the same
time. To facilitate language change, a PC utility is provided which enables the required language to be
loaded on to the P900. The Language Change Utility is not available for Chinese versions.
