8.4 Maintenance Work

8.4.1

Engine Oil Change

WARNING!
Risk of scalding!
Engine oil is hot.
For this reason:
S Only touch the oil drain screws using protective gloves
NOTE!
The oil filter elements are to be replaced at every engine oil change.
Drain engine oil
Drain engine oil with engine at operating temperature.
NOTE!
Use a container with sufficient ca­
pacity to change oil (at least 10
litres). This ensures that oil will not
overflow.
1. Place container under the oil filter bowls.
2. Unscrew the oil drain screw (1) on the oil filter
bowl and allow the oil to completely run out.
NOTE!
Use a container with sufficient ca­
pacity to change oil (at least 100
litres). This ensures that oil will not
overflow.
3. Position container under the drain screw.
4. Remove oil drain screw (2) from oil pan and
completely drain all oil.
5. Fit oil drain screw (2) with new sealing ring,
screw in and tighten.
