General information The Roxar Mechanical Retrieval Tool is used to install and retrieve weight loss coupons, corrosion probes, and both injection and sampling equipment. In addition, the tool can also install and retrieve other devices that can be installed in Roxar mechanical 2-inch access fittings, or mechanical 2-inch access fittings from other vendors that are compatible or interchangeable with Roxar 2-inch mechanical fittings on pressurized lines.
The service valve can also be delivered as a single isolation version. The procedures for operation and maintenance are similar to those for the double isolation valve. For more information about the single isolation valve, refer to the Roxar Service Valve - Product Data Sheet.

Attending the mechanical retrieval tool training course is not considered sufficient for operating the tool on pressurized lines. Emerson requires a two-man crew with formal training. Important To clean the barrels of the Roxar Mechanical Retrieval Tool, use a clean, straight, nonmetallic pole (made of wood, nylon, or a polymer) with a smooth surface. The pole should have an external diameter between 25.4 mm and 31.75 mm, and a length that is equal to the length of the retriever when it is collapsed.
