15. GLOSSARY AND REFERENCES

The following terms are associated with the 4001 non-addressable control and indicating equipment.
Term Description
Access levels Hierarchical levels to gain access to specific control and
configuration functions.
Alarm Condition When an event from an input device (eg detector) is recognized as a
fire.
Control and indicating This equipment, that monitors devices displays events, initiates
equipment alarm devices, and allows control of the fire detection and alarm
system.
Disable Condition When an alarm zone (input devices or outputs) will not report alarm
or fault events, nor respond to any event even reported by another
zone.
Fault Condition When an event (either from an input device, a transmission path, or
within the control and indicating equipment) is recognized as a fault.
