Power Supply Installation Guide
This document provides instructions for removing a power supply
module and installing a replacement on your appliance. The SonicWall
SuperMassive appliance contains two power supplies that are
accessible from the back of the appliance. The dual power supply
ensures redundancy if one power supply fails.
NOTE : Never remove or install a power supply with the power
cord attached to the power supply being removed or installed.
There is no need to power down the appliance.
Removing the Power Supply from the
SonicWall Appliance
To remove a defective power supply from the SonicWall appliance:
1 Verify that one of the Power LEDs on the front bezel is yellow. The
LED illuminates yellow if the corresponding power supply has failed
or is unplugged.
2 Turn OFF the power supply module you wish to remove., then,
unplug the power cord from the module.
3 Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws holding the module
in place until the screws detach from the chassis.
4 Pull the entire power supply module out of the appliance using the
attached handle, and set it aside.
Inserting the Power Supply into the SonicWall

Appliance
To insert the new power supply into the SonicWall appliance, perform
the following steps:
1 Insert the power supply into the appliance until it is completely
seated.
2 Firmly push the module in and tighten the screws with a Phillips
screwdriver.
3 Connect the power cord to both the power supply and a power
source, then, switch the module to ON.
4 Verify that the Power LED changes to blue, indicating that the new
power supply module is successfully inserted and connected.

Ce document indique la marche à suivre pour retirer et installer un bloc
d'alimentation électrique dans votre appareil de sécurité réseau
SuperMassive. Cet appareil SonicWall contient deux blocs
d'alimentation auxquels on accède par l'arrière de l'appareil.
NOTE : Débranchez le cordon d'alimentation du bloc
d'alimentation avant de le retirer ou de le remplacer. Il n'est pas
nécessaire de débrancher l'appareil.
Retrait du bloc d'alimentation de l'appareil
Pour retirer un bloc d'alimentation défectueux:
1 Vérifiez qu'un des voyant DEL sur le panneau avant soit jaune,
indiquant un block d'alimentation défectueux ou débranché.
2 Débranchez le cordon d'alimentation du module à remplacer.
3 Desserrez les vis de fixation à l'aide d'un tournevis cruciforme,
jusqu'à ce que le bloc soit libre.
4 Retirez le bloc d'alimentation entièrement de l'appareil à l'aide de
la poignée du module. Mettez-le de côté.
Installation du nouveau bloc d'alimentation
Pour installer le nouveau bloc d'alimentation, suivez ces étapes:
1 Insérez le bloc d'alimentation dans l'appareil jusqu'à ce qu'il soit
bien enfoncé.
2 Poussez le module d'alimentation soigneusement et fermement
dans l'appareil,et serrez les vix à l'aide d'un tournevis cruciforme.
3 Branchez le cordon d'alimentation sur le bloc d'alimentation et sur
la source électrique. Allumez le bloc d'alimentation.
4 Vérifiez que le nouveau bloc d'alimentation fonctionne
correctement. Le voyant DEL de l'alimentation électrique situé sur
le panneau avant devrait être allumé en bleu.
Entfernen des Netzteils aus der SonicWall

HINWEIS: Entfernen Sie unbedingt die Stromversorgung von
dem zu wechselnden Netzteil. Das Gerät muss nicht
ausgeschaltet werden.
Führen Sie zum Entfernen eines defekten Netzteils aus der SonicWall
Appliance die folgenden Schritte aus:
1 Überprüfen Sie, ob eine der Betriebs-LEDs auf der Frontblende
gelb leuchtet. Die LED leuchtet dann gelb, wenn am zugehörigen
Netzteil ein Fehler aufgetreten ist oder es vom Netz getrennt
wurde.
2 Schalten Sie das zu entfernende Netzteilmodul auf OFF. Ziehen Sie
dann das Netzanschlusskabel vom Modul ab.
3 Lösen Sie mit einem Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher die Schrauben,
die das Modul in seiner Position halten, bis die Schrauben nicht
mehr mit dem Gehäuse verbunden sind.
4 Ziehen Sie das gesamte Netzteilmodul am vorhandenen Griff aus
der Appliance, und legen Sie es beiseite.
