Putting into Operation
interrupt processing directly via the bus, then the corresponding pins of the interrupt lines must be
free from their soldered connections. All unused interrupt lines must retain their jumper
connection with grounding M.
In the programmable controllerS5–115U, an interrupt is activated on interrupt line B via gating
logic 1.
The following jumpers must be established on the soldering base:

As already mentioned, for interrupt jumpering in SIMATIC S5 units without direct bus access,
memory latch D9 must be replaced by the soldering base D9. This soldering base has the
following pin assignment:
2 0 1 9 1 8 1 7 1 6 1 5 1 4 1 3 1 2 1 1
Attention: To evaluate interrupts with an additional interrupt module, the interrupt–
generating outputs of the comparators or the gating logic must be con-
nected by jumpers from the soldering base Xl 9 to base D9 to the binary
outputs of the 1P 243. These outputs are then connected externally to the
binary input module with process–interrupt generation.
