The serial interface of the read head allows the position values and other defined operating
data to be read out.
Up to four WCS2B and/or WCS3B read heads can be interconnected in one RS-485 bus line.
In this case, the read heads must have different addresses. The read head address must be
configured in the read head if it has not already been set. If the read head address is already
preset, this is indicated by the type designation of the read head. In the section "Type Overview
of WCS Read Head," you will find a detailed breakdown of the read head types, see chapter
10.

• Note the assignment of the wire pairs to the pins as shown in the respective wiring dia-
grams.
