    CHARGING THE BATTERY • Ensure the camera is charged completely before first use. Battery compartment Remove the battery compartment cover and insert the battery. • Keep the device away from children while charging. • Ensure the camera is switched off when charging. If the camera turns on automatically when connected to a power source please turn it off to complete charging.

  • Page 8 1. SWITCHING BETWEEN PHOTO & VIDEO MODES There are two ways to switch between video / photo: 1. Short press the power button. 2. Simply swipe to the left or right on the touch screen. 2. SELECT A VIDEO / PHOTO FUNCTION Swipe up on the screen and choose between the different functions.

    WiFi FUNCTION Before using the WiFi function, please go to the App Store or GooglePlay and install the XDV PRO app on your mobile phone or tablet PC. There are 2 options to activate the camera WiFi: 1 - Press and hold the UP/ WiFi button for about 3-5 seconds to activate the camera’s WiFi.

    Please note that it is not possible to wirelessly playback or transfer any files exceeding 1080p resolution using the app. Files using any resolution higher than 1080p can only be accessed via your computer using a card reader. When using the app for live view the camera screen will only display the WiFi network info.
  • Page 14 Using the Remote You can also use the remote control to start recording. • Press the Record/OK button to start recording. • Press the Record/OK button again to stop recording. NOTE: Pressing the video recording button on the remote while in photo mode will automatically switch the camera to video recording mode and start the recording.

    LOOP: When the 'Loop Recording' option is activated the camera will record a video for the duration of time chosen and when the time has elapsed the camera will start recording a new file for the same period of time. Each time a new recording is started it automatically overwrites the last recording.

    PHOTO MODES PHOTO: Press the ‘Settings Menu’ icon to choose your photo resolution and additional settings options. After adjusting a specific setting, press the ‘Back’ icon to return to the recording screen. AUTO: With the Auto-Shoot function activated the camera automatically takes a series of timed photos in repetition until the shutter button is pressed to stop the sequence.
  • Page 17 PLAYBACK Tap the ‘Playback’ icon on the touchscreen. The counter on the top of the screen will display the current file number and the total number of files available to view. Tap the left (<) and right (>) icons to navigate through the various files. When a video file is selected the ‘Play’button will appear.

    WiFi INFORMATION: • WiFi ID - Displays the device network ID – this is the network you should search for in your smartphone WiFi settings screen when connecting to the camera. • Wi-Fi pwd – This is the password required to complete the connection between your camera and your smartphone.
