Confirming the System Log Message of This Unit (Syslog)

You can send information or an event which occurs in the system of this unit to another unit as a message (this is called
"syslog"). "Syslog" contains information such as the start/shutdown of this unit, the login, the activity in normal states,
and the states of an error. You can specify the level of the message if necessary.

In the Web menu, click "Syslog Setting".
The "Syslog" window appears.

Select the desired mode(s) which specifies
the kind of the message that is sent and
click.

You can select the check boxes of multiple modes.
• Debug Mode: Sends the debug log to confirm the
inner activity when an error occurs.
• Info Mode (Default): Sends the operation log such
as the event or states of the activity of this unit.
• Notice Mode: Sends the details of the operation
log when this unit is in the normal state.

In the "Syslog Network Output", click
"Enable".

In the "Syslog Host Address", enter the host
IP address of the destination unit.

Click "Submit".
The Syslog message specified in step 2 is sent to the
host address specified in step 4.
