The basics
The air we breathe is made up of 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen
and 1% other gases.
Your portable oxygen concentrator works by drawing in air and separating out oxygen from
other gases using a filter system. This filter traps some gases; but allows oxygen to pass
through. This oxygen, now up to 95% pure, is delivered to you via your nasal cannula to assist
in your breathing and ability to get out and about.
BOC Homecare hopes that your portable concentrator along with the support, training and
education we offer will benefit you and that, in turn, you will be able to get out and about as
much as possible so you can live life to the fullest.
