The ISDN 8510T Firmware
The following instructions will help you install a new EPROM, or replace
the old EPROM, on an Asynchronous Data Board (ADB) or
Telecommunications Multimedia Interface (TMI) board on an 8510T
terminal. In this way, you can upgrade the terminal firmware to a later
release.
Removing the 8510T Terminal from Operation
Before you remove the old EPROM, you should disconnect the cords
which connect the 8510T terminal with the system. See Figure 1 for the
location of the jacks and routing channels.
Pick up the handset (you can leave it connected with the terminal)
1
and lay it aside.
Turn the terminal over and disconnect the line cord from the Line jack
2
and the cord of any adjunct equipment from the Adjunct jack. You
can leave the cables in the routing channels.
