■External encoder connector
The external encoder of A/B/Z-phase differential output type can be connected using the CN2L connector. The following table
shows the communication method of the external encoder compatible with the MR-J5-_A_ and MR-J5-_A_-RJ servo
amplifiers.

Application
Connect the digital I/O signals.
Connect a servo motor encoder or an external encoder.
Connect the external encoder.
To use the direct drive motor, connect the battery for absolute
position data backup.

Connect the input power supply.

Connect the control circuit power supply and regenerative option.
Connect the servo motor.
When the main circuit is charged, this light is on. While the light is
on, do not change the connections of the wires.
Install the battery for absolute position data backup.
Connect this terminal to the protective earth (PE) of the cabinet.
Indicates model, capacity, and other information.
