Magnesiumanoden skyddar vattenbehållarens inre yta mot korrosion. Anodens livslängd är upp till 5 år beroende på vattenkvalitet. Anoden utsätts för slitage och ska bytas ut regelbundet. Med hänsyn till långsiktig användning av varmvattenberedaren utan olyckor rekommenderar tillverkaren att magnesiumanodens tillstånd kontrolleras regelbundet av en kvalificerad tekniker och att den byts när det är nödvändigt. -
