3 Switch Lever
Activates the cutting attachment when depressed in
combination with the trigger switch.
4 Retaining Latch
Locks/unlocks the trigger switch.
5 LEDs
Indicate the unit's power level.
6 Trigger Switch Lockout
Must be depressed while the retaining latch is unlocked
to allow activation of the trigger switch.
7 Control Handle
Handle for the operator's rear hand.
8 Socket
Socket for the plug of the battery connecting cord.
9 Trigger Switch
Activates the cutting attachment when depressed in
combination with the switch lever.
10 Blocking Lever
Lever for rotating the rear handle.
11 Screw Plug
Seals the grease filler opening at the gearbox.
12 Hand Guard
Helps protect the operator's front hand from projecting
branches and other materials and from contact with the
cutting blades.
13 Cutting Blade Guard
Helps protect the operator from contact with the cutting
blades.
14 Cutting Blades
Steel blades for cutting hedges, shrubs and bushes.
15 Tip Guard
Helps protect the tip of the cutting blades from contact
with solid objects.

The HSA 94 may be powered by a STIHL AR series
backpack battery. Alternatively, it may be powered by a
STIHL AP series battery in combination with a STIHL AP
Battery Bag with Connecting Cord.
A variety of battery harness options are available for use
with the HSA 94. (Batteries, battery harnesses and other
accessories sold separately.)
1 STIHL AR Backpack Battery
Backpack battery.
2 Connecting Cord
Transmits electric current from the battery to the hedge
trimmer.
