12 Using a Battery Harness
WARNING
Manage the cord to prevent it from contacting the cutting
blades or catching on objects, which could cause you to lose
balance or control of the hedge trimmer, resulting in serious
personal injury and property damage. Do not allow the
connecting cord to swing across your body or hang at your
side.
The connecting cord can be secured in different positions
and adjusted to suit the height and reach of the operator.
To run the connecting cord through the guide in the shoulder
strap:

► Insert the connecting cord (1) through the opening (2) on
the side of side of your body where the hedge trimmer is
held and controlled.
► Undo the snap fasteners (3) on the shoulder strap and run
the connecting cord through the guide (4).
► Close the snap fasteners to secure the cord in the guide.

To run the connecting cord to the side:

► Insert the connecting cord (1) through the opening (2) on
the side of your body where the hedge trimmer is held and
controlled (Illustration A or B).
► Secure the connecting cord using the hook and eye
fastener (3).
12.2.3 Putting on and Adjusting the Battery Backpack
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury, the operator must be
able to remove the battery backpack quickly in the event of
an emergency. In an emergency, open and remove the waist
belt and chest strap quickly before dropping the backpack to
the ground.
To ensure a proper fit:
► Put the battery backpack on your back.
