Removing
the crispers
and
crisper
covers.. .
l
Slide crispers straight out to stop
l
Lift the front
l
Slide the rest of the way out.
l
Replace
In reverse order
Covers are held In place by two pegs at the back
and two notched
tabs in front.
Push the Tab
to Clear the Cover.
Snap Back into Place.
l
Press front tabs out of the way
l
Lift cover front.
l
Lift back off the pegs.
l
Replace
In reverse order.
The center leg can be made
shorter or longer to
help level the crisper covers, If necessary.
Turn the
leg clockwise
to make
It longer.
Turn It counter-
clockwise
to shorten It
Changing
the light bulbs...
Before removing
the light shield for cleaning
or for
replacing
the bulb.
unplug
the refrigerator.
Use

On/y
Push in the Center;
light
bulb behind
light shield:
l
Push lightly on the top center of the light shield
until the notched
tab unhooks from the control
panel.
l
Pull down on the shield until the tab clears the
control panel.
l
Lift the back hooks out of their slots.
l
Replace
with a 40-watt appliance
bulb
l
Replace
light shield in reverse order.
Light bulb behind
crispers:
l
Remove crispers and crisper covers.
l
Bulb is on back wall of refrigerator.
l
Replace
with a 40.watt appliance
bulb.
l
Replace
crisper and crisper cover.
l
Plug In the refngerator.
Reversing
the door swing.. .
You can change
the hinges on your refrigerator
SO
the doors open the other way. Refer to the instruction
sheet Included
with your refrigerator
Ice cube trays.. .
To remove
ice:
l
Hold tray at both ends.
. Slightly twist
If cubes are not used, they may shrink. The moving
cold air starts a slow evaporation.
The longer cubes
are stored, the smaller they get.

automatic
ice maker.. .

If you have the automatic
ice maker accessory
or
plan to add one later (Part No. ECKMF-6). there are
a few things you will want to know,
l
The ON/OFF
lever is a wire signal arm.
Down.. foe making
Ice automatically.
Up...toshut
off the ice maker.
l
Shake the bin occasionally
to keep cubes sepa-
rated, and to obtain Increased
storage capacity.
l
It is normal for Ice crescents to be attached
by a
corner. They will break apart easily.
l
You will hear water
running
when
ice maker
is
working.
You'll hear Ice fall Into the bin. Don't let
these sounds bother you.
l
The ice maker will not operate
until the freezer IS
cold enough to make ice. This can take overnight.
l
Because
of new plumbing
connecttons,
the first
ice may be discolored
or off-flavored
Discard the
first few batches
of ice
l
If ice IS not being made fast enough and more Ice
IS needed,
turn the Temperature
Control toward a
higher number. Wait a day and, If necessary,
turn
the Air Control toward A.
l
If you remove the Ice bin, raise the signal arm to
shut off the Ice maker. When you return the bin.
push it all the way In and lower the arm to the ON
position.
l
If cubes are stored too long, they may develop
an
off-flavor.

They

Cubes
in the Ice bin can also
become
smaller by evaporation.
