FILTER Gain Adjust ment
Set the Sub Band frequency to 14.200 MHz in
the CW-USB mode.
Set the following controls as indicated:
[ANT] : ANT 2
[IPO] : AMP1
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : 600 Hz
[WIDTH] : 500 Hz
[AGC] : AUTO
[RF GAIN] : Fully clockwise
Connect the RF Signal Generator to the "ANT
2" jack, then set the output level to 36 dBµ at
14.200 MHz.
Press and hold in the [MODE], [SSB] and [CW]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align-
ment parameter "3-027 FIL GAIN 0.6k".
Press the [MULTI] knob, then rotate the [MPVD]
ring to set the "0".
Set the following controls as indicated:
[R.FLT] : 12 kHz
[WIDTH] : 2.4 kHz
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align-
ment parameter "3-028 SDR GAIN 0.6k".
Press the [MULTI] knob, then rotate the [MPVD]
ring to set the "0".
FM Gain Adjustment
Set the Sub Band frequency to 28.700 MHz in
the FM-W mode.
Set the following controls as indicated:
[ANT] : ANT 2
[IPO] : AMP1
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : 12 kHz
[AGC] : AUTO
[RF GAIN] : Fully clockwise
Set the RF Signal Generator to 0 dBµ at the
28.7000 MHz of a 1 kHz ±3.5 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Press and hold in the [MODE], [SSB] and [CW]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align-
ment parameter "3-029 FM GAIN S1 28".
Rotate the [MPVD] ring so the S-meter reading
is "S-1".
Press and hold in the [S.MENU] button to save
the new setting and exit the alignment mode.
Set the RF Signal Generator to 0 dBµ at the
51.500 MHz of a 1 kHz ±3.5 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Set the Sub Band frequency to 51.500 MHz in
the FM-W mode.
Press and hold in the [MODE], [SSB] and [CW]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode again.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align-
ment parameter "3-030 FM GAIN S1 50".
Rotate the [MPVD] ring so that the S-meter
reading is "S-1".
Press and hold in the [S.MENU] button to save
the new setting and exit the alignment mode.
FM Squelch Adjustment
Set the Sub Band frequency to 51.500 MHz in
the FM-W mode.
Set the following controls as indicated:
[ANT] : ANT 2
[IPO] : AMP1
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : 12 kHz
[AGC] : AUTO
[RF GAIN] : Fully clockwise
Set the RF Signal Generator to -8 dBµ at the
51.500 MHz of a 1 kHz ±3.5 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align-
ment parameter "3-031 FM SQL THW".
Press the [MULTI] knob.
Set the RF Signal Generator to -8 dBµ at the
51.500 MHz of a 1 kHz ±1.75 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Set the Sub Band frequency to 51.500 MHz in
the FM-N mode.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align-
ment parameter "3-032 FM SQL THN".
Press the [MULTI] knob.
Set the RF Signal Generator to 0 dBµ at the
51.500 MHz of a 1 kHz ±3.5 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Set the Sub Band frequency to 51.500 MHz in
the FM-W mode.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align-
ment parameter "3-033 FM SQL TI".
Press the [MULTI] knob.
Press and hold in the [S.MENU] button to save
the new setting and exit the alignment mode.
