Web Server
3.4 Remote Master Tab
When configured as a Slave device this tab is visible. In this low-power mode the XW-111 periodically
awakens, makes simple measurements and transmits (pushes) the data to a remote server (usually
another ControlByWeb device). These settings are used to specify how the data is to be sent, and to
which server. In this mode, no alarms or emails are supported and the web server is disabled.
Master Host/IP
The Hostname or IP address of the server you wish to send (push) data to. To save energy, DNS lookups
are only performed the first time after the settings are submitted, or after a failure to send data to the
remote master.
Port Number
The TCP port used for communications with the remote server. For pushing data to a Xytronix device,
the port number must be 65430.
Push Type
Data is sent to the remote server with one of three HTTP protocols:
XCD Method (Xytronix Compact Data)
GET Method
POST Method
Path

(SLAVE MODE ONLY)
This method is used to send data to Xytronix devices (ControlByWeb devices) such as
the X-600. The CBW method condenses the information into binary data to reduce the
amount of energy needed by the XW-111 to transmit the information (see Section 5.2:
Xytronix Compact Data (XCD) Format.)
The HTTP GET method is used to send the data to the path specified in the Path field.
The Path field is hidden unless the GET or POST methods are selected.
The HTTP POST method is used to send the data to the path specified in the Path field.
The Path field is hidden unless the GET or POST methods are selected.
This option appears when either the GET or POST method is selected. This setting
