Follow the procedure in Table 3 to access the PROM.

Step
1
Remove the four screws (two on each side) that hold the two main
printed wiring boards onto the chassis (See Figure 2 for location)
Use pliers to squeeze the ends of the spacer and push it through

the Power/ Digital I/O PWB. (See Figure 2 for location of spacer)
Gently pull the MCU/Inputs and the Power/DIO boards apart out of

the top and bottom interconnectors and lay the boards flat on a
non-conductive surface. (See figure 3).

Identify the Communications Option board (If present) and remove
the two screws that hold it onto the MCU/Inputs PWB.

Figure 3 identifies the location of the PROM.

Insert a small screwdriver under the PROM and lift up to remove.
Orient the PROM to the socket and press into place.

Reassemble the Communications Option PWB to the MCU/Inputs

PWB.
Reassemble the interconnects to the MCU/Inputs board and

reassemble the boards reversing the procedure above.
Reattach the Bezel/Keyboard/Display board assembly as listed in

Table 2 - steps 4 and 5.

Return the chassis to the case and configure the controller to
include the new features.
