PROTECTOR ELECTRONIC KEY CABINET models 40E, 80E and 120E

GENERAL

Each time a button is pressed the yellow light will flash
2
If the next button is not pressed within 20 seconds the system will go back to the dormant state
3
To reactivate the keypad press any button
4
The function '*' (star) key and the '#' hash key is the same
5
Preset factory code is 159#
6
This cabinet can have 2 user codes, a master code and a personal code
7
DO NOT KEEP THE EMERGENCY OPENING KEYS IN THE SAFE

OPENING THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Gently remove the cover in the middle of the lock facia.

Use the emergency opening key to release the lock
3
Turn the knob to open the cabinet.
4
Insert the batteries which will be found inside the cabinet
5
Close the cabinet door, lock with the emergency keys
6
Test with the factory code – press 1, 5,9, # then turn the knob to open the door

SET A NEW MASTER CODE

Open the cabinet door using the factory code
2
Locate the red button (set switch) at the back of the safe door
3
Press 00 (zero, zero)
4
Press the set switch – yellow light will flash, this means the password management feature
is active
5
Input your new code – 3 – 8 digits
6
Press # or * to confirm – there will be 2 beeps and the yellow light will go off

SET A NEW PERSONAL CODE

Open the cabinet door
2
Press the set switch (red button) once
3
Yellow light shows password management is active
4
Input your new code – 3 – 8 digits
5
Press # or* to confirm – there will be 2 beeps and the yellow light will go off

USING THE SAFE

1
Enter the master code or the user code and press # to confirm
2
Two beeps will be hear and green light will come on
3
You now have 5 seconds to turn the knob to the right and open the door
4
After 5 seconds the green light will go off
5
If you input an incorrect code the buzzer will beep several times
6
After three incorrect code entries the system will lock for 20 seconds, after 20 seconds the
buzzer will beep for 20 seconds. When the buzzer stops try again.
